halley44 leaving two plus two

As things appear at the time of this article, the online poker forum Two Plus Two has lost crucial helping hands in the battle for information in the Ultimate Bet scandal. In the course of the day, conversations between Mason and Halley44 have proven volatile and explosive. At this point, it appears Halley44 has left the 2+2 community, indefinitely.
As the conversations progressed throughout the day, evidence of mutually negative feelings prior to today surfaced. This laid one part of the foundation of the misunderstanding. Another contributing factor was physical exhaustion. Halley had been up working on a laptop overnight prior to the sharp tongued post that triggered the public hostilities. The events directly involved with today’s explosion appear to be a simple misunderstanding of each other.
There has been significant discussion around the remote possibility that Paul Leggett will appear in a structured format to answer hard questions. Some of the discussions have included the potential possibility of a Podcast style interview for the 2+2 community. The questions for this format would be drawn from those who are most aware of the Ultimate Bet situation. Naturally, this would include Halley. This morning, when she looked at the forum regarding the issue, she stumbled across a post that indicated beyond doubt that she would write the questions for this. The presumptive statement was made by Mason, someone who had blown off questions about the scandal months prior. This set Halley into a tailspin. Her thinking was essentially this: How could I be expected to write questions when I was unknown just months before when I wanted to ask the questions? Everything spiraled downhill from there.
Initially, Mason was under the impression that Halley’s slight and temper was related to a previous discussion that included a book review website. Being the policy of the forum not to release books for free, he did not provide any for her. This was not the motivation for her slight. Her motivation stemmed from a conversation after this, in which she contacted him regarding a blackmail threat made via the forum. The threat was a portion of the Ultimate Bet scandal and cheating cover up. Mason responded to that request stating he didn’t know her. This was last November, when Halley’s investigation had already begun yielding very public results, and thus she found this offensive. Mason’s tone could have been easily misunderstood in the manner Halley did, however it is also possible that due to his natural mannerisms it was not intended as it came across.
The unfortunate result of this very public argument is that Halley44 has stated she will no longer participate in the Two Plus Two community. Many players believe this to be a loss for the forum and for the poker players still looking for answers in the Ultimate Bet Cheating Scam.
