As things appear at the time of this article, the online poker forum Two Plus Two has lost crucial helping hands in the battle for information in the Ultimate Bet scandal. Her thinking was essentially this: How could I be expected to write questions when I was unknown just months before when I wanted to ask the questions? Everything spiraled downhill from there.
Initially, Mason was under the impression that Halley’s slight and temper was related to a previous discussion that included a book review website. Mason’s tone could have been easily misunderstood in the manner Halley did, however it is also possible that due to his natural mannerisms it was not intended as it came across.
The unfortunate result of this very public argument is that Halley44 has stated she will no longer participate in the Two Plus Two community. Many players believe this to be a loss for the forum and for the poker players still looking for answers in the Ultimate Bet Cheating Scam.

In the thread about the Full Tilt Poker Challenge Durrrr promotion, it was cited, the original winner and qualifier of the tournament was disqualified. Svetamillion battled her way through each challenge and won the opportunity to compete against Tom Dwan in a heads up match up for 1.5 million dollars. The same money was then promised to the Japan relief effort if Tom won the competition against Svetamillion. The day before the event, a new player was named to compete in place of Svetamillion. She was replaced by the runner up, inorej.
On the 27th, the competition played out as expected. Tom won the 1.5 million for Japan relief effort. From the opening hand, it was clear this was a mismatched major event. Inorej won not one of the four rounds of play and Tom Dwan had a walk in the park with this competition. This leaves open the question, what happened to Svetamillion?
It appears that Svetamillion is a Russian poker woman who was competing in her first major event. Full Tilt Poker investigated her play and format and believed they had caught her playing with multiple accounts at the same events. A few days ago, on PokerStrategy Forum’s Russian section, this post was made: (translated from Russian by an auto translator)

In 2008, a little known poker player came into the spotlight when his parents were brutally murdered in their Oakland, Ca home. Ernest Scherer the Third was the first suspect in the case and ultimately has been convicted of their murders. It is the stand of the prosecution that his time as a professional poker player, albeit a poor one, stands to explain why he killed his parents. Should his parents have passed of natural causes, he stood to inherit more than 1.5 million dollars.
After months of testimony, the facts in the case are still not concrete, but there is enough circumstantial evidence for a jury to convict. Through the investigation, it came out that the defendant’s car was in the area just before the murders. Also brought out during the trial was a warranty for a baseball bat similar to the one used in the death of his parents. This combined with a stop at a McDonalds and Chevron near the border with Nevada near where the bat could have been purchased continued to build the case against him. Evidence continued to stack up but came against a very crucial piece that pointed to a separate party. A blood stained shoe print from the crime scene did not have DNA from Ernest Scherer III. The defense attorney held onto this and similar evidence that kept put his client some place besides the crime scene at the time of the murder.
Currently, Ernest Scherer II is awaiting sentencing on May 20th.
