Bryan “The Icon” Micon makes up one third of Team Neverwin Poker (TMP) triumvirate, soon to be the TMP quintet when two up-and-coming associate team members will be promoted. Beginning with his notable 2006 WSOP winning streak, it has been one win after another, and with Micon’s socially amusing personality and ESPN coverage in the 2006 WSOP, he’s been noticed and accounted for. After winning an important hand, he was caught holding an electronic sign that read “DONKEY,” while doing the “Thriller” dance from the Michael Jackson video. It is because of public spectacles like this one or getting yelled at by Phil Helmuth, whom he angered during the 2008 WSOP. Even 63rd place can get love when the player in 63rd place is Bryan Micon (out of more than 8,770 2006 WSOP Main Event entrants). He walked away from the 2006 WSOP with more than $200,000 in winnings and a popularity vote by televised poker viewers.

Including the winnings he took from the 2006 WSOP, his lifetime winnings total $243,183. Nowadays, he spends his days at the biggest multi-table tournaments available at the numerous high-stakes poker sites on the Internet. If you find high-stakes poker online, Micon isn’t far behind, or he’s already been there and won. One substantial win he took home recently from the 2008 WSOP Event #44 was a $1500+ cash prize at a No Limit Hold’em tournament.
Besides being an enjoyable character at the live games, he is also known around the online poker community for his witty and highly engaging blog that is also apparent in his forum personality and role as forum moderator. He is known as “micon” around the forum and on his blog hosted on the Neverwin Poker Forum website.
Micon is a southern boy at heart, originally from Atlanta, Georgia and now residing in Las Vegas with his girlfriend, Chantel, who is also affiliated with Neverwin Poker as a Neverwin Poker Hottie!
Link to Micon’s blog post about the incident between Phil Hellmuth and himself at a 2008 WSOP table in Rio: Cell phone rules at WSOP. Their public disagreement included profanity and started because of a dispute over the 2008 WSOP Rules surrounding the use of cell phones at the table. Micon ended up being one of the 1500 players to be eliminated during the first two days of WSOP 2008; he was knocked out at Event #54 on the second day.
At the 2008 WSOP, Micon also participated in Event #51 – HORSE on Day 1, Event #48 – No-Limit Hold ‘em on Day 2, Event #36 – No-Limit Hold ‘em on Day 1 and Day 2, and Event #35 – No-Limit Hold ‘em on Day 1.
